The following 10 trees from previous Seminars have been written with information gathered from personal observations of the author, living in Massachusetts, Zone 6, and information provided by J. Frank Schmidt & Son.  

                                            Golden Desert European Ash
Golden Desert European Ash is a small rounded tree with bright golden twigs and young stems, outstanding yellow color throughout the year.  Foliage emerges yellow, becoming yellow-green in early summer and developing a golden cast in late summer.

Japanese Hornbeam leaves are corrugated along the veins.  These features, along with the distinctive fan like branch habit, contribute to the graceful shape of this unusual tree.

China Snow Pekin Tree Lilac has large sprays of cream-white flowers are borne in June.  This small ornamental tree has amber to orange-brown exfoliating bark that extends seasonal interest through the winter months.
