Seminar #75 is now open.
Welcome to Online Seminars for Municipal Arborists. While the original purpose of Online Seminars was to duplicate attending a conference without the hassle and expense of travel and time away from your home and office, this website has evolved to become a major resource for municipal arborists and urban foresters. The purpose of this website is to provide up-to-date information on urban forestry subjects and allow you to earn continuing education credits (CEUs) from your professional society.
At the top of the right hand column, you will see Articles for the CURRENT SEMINAR. Instead of 10 or 15 lectures at a typical conference, there are ten new Articles every three months for you to read, or 40 articles a year.
Below the CURRENT SEMINAR are the ARCHIVES, which are the articles from the past year of Seminars.
Following them are in-depth TOPICS of special interest. These TOPICS are a reference source and a permanent feature of the Seminars. The TOPICS are reviewed by the author at least once a year and updated as necessary to keep the article current, based on the latest research.
At the bottom are the CLASSICS. These articles are very important or were very popular when they appeared in a previous Seminar.
If you need a bid specification for professional, up-to-date services, click on our selection of SPECIFICATIONS in the upper left hand column on this page.
Feel free to read any or all the articles you wish, anytime 24-7 at no cost. However, if you wish to take a test at the end of each article to earn CEUs, there will be a modest payment required. Only the Classics are not eligible for CEU credit.
Another reason to attend a conference is to discuss various issues with your peers. After reading the articles, I would encourage you to participate in discussions about the articles or any other urban forestry subject that is on your mind. To do this, please join our very popular Urban Forestry Discussion Group on LinkedIn.
The final reason to attend a conference is to meet with sponsors or vendors who have useful products or offer services that you might need to make your job better. The sponsors listed here support this website. They are waiting for you to click on their logo to visit their websites. While you are at their sites, you will be able to look over their products and services. Feel free to make an inquiry or place an order. Also while you are there, please let them know that you appreciate their support of Online Seminars.
If this is your first visit to our website, you can become a member by sending an email to Richard Gibney at firstname.lastname@example.org with "Member Request" in the subject box. Please specify whether you are an Arborist and/or Landscape Architect. Once you are a member, we will send you one short monthly email reminder to visit the website and notify you that a new Seminar has been released. No advertisements from sponsors or anyone else has access to our members list.
My email is email@example.com Send me a message anytime you have questions or comments about Online Seminars. If you have any questions or find an article that has a mistake, please send me an email.
Enjoy the Seminars,
